Each Kelpstone charter is designed around a different reach and pace — from a sheltered morning on the bay to a week-long passage through some of the most beautiful coastal water in Thailand.

HOW KELPSTONE ROUTES WORK
Every charter departs from Boat Lagoon Marina on Phuket's eastern coast — a calm, well-sheltered starting point that allows departures without fighting the swell of the open Andaman. From there, routes head north into Phang Nga Bay or, on the multi-day charter, follow the bay south and east toward Krabi.
Kelpstone runs three defined routes, each with a clear character and duration. All are private — your group has the vessel to itself. Within each route's scope, the skipper adapts based on conditions and your preferences.
Day charters depart from 08:00. Multi-day by arrangement.
All charters depart from Boat Lagoon Marina, Koh Kaew.
Each charter is entirely private for your group.
BOAT LAGOON BAY CRUISE
A half-day cruise departing from Boat Lagoon Marina and exploring the calm waterways along Phuket's eastern coast. The route includes views of the Royal Marina and several small islands in the strait between Phuket and the mainland. A simple refreshment service is provided onboard. Suitable for passengers seeking a relaxed, sheltered sailing experience without any open-ocean exposure.
The eastern coast is sheltered from the prevailing Andaman swell, making this the most accessible charter for guests who are new to sailing, children, or anyone who prefers calm conditions. The pace is relaxed and there are no fixed stops — the skipper will find suitable spots for anchoring or drifting based on conditions.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
- Private use of the vessel and full crew for four hours
- Refreshment service: soft drinks, water, light snacks
- Fuel and marina departure/return fees
- All safety equipment and life jackets
HOW IT RUNS
Marina departure
08:00 or as arranged. Brief safety overview before casting off.
Eastern channel passage
Sail north through the Koh Kaew straits, taking in the Royal Marina and island views.
Anchor and refresh
Find a calm spot to anchor, enjoy the refreshment service, swim if conditions allow.
Return to marina
Return passage, arrival approximately four hours after departure.
KOH YAO FULL-DAY SAIL
A full-day voyage crossing to the Koh Yao islands — Koh Yao Noi and Koh Yao Yai — in the middle of Phang Nga Bay. The crossing from Phuket takes approximately forty-five minutes in normal conditions. Once at the islands, the remainder of the day is spent exploring beaches, mangrove-lined channels, and reef zones that fringe the southern end of Koh Yao Noi.
The Koh Yao islands remain relatively undeveloped by Thai island standards, and access by private yacht gives a different sense of arrival compared to the ferry. A Thai lunch is prepared onboard during a calm anchor period. Kayaks and snorkel gear are carried on this route.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
- Private vessel and crew for the full eight hours
- Thai lunch prepared onboard with fresh local ingredients
- Soft drinks and water throughout the day
- Kayaks (2) and snorkel equipment for all guests
- Fuel, departure fees, and island landing costs

Anchor in calm water. Thai lunch served onboard.
Afternoon — Reef & mangrove exploration

PHUKET–KRABI COASTAL PASSAGE
A multi-day charter from Phuket's east coast to Krabi, following the sheltered route through Phang Nga Bay. Typical passage lengths are two to five days. Possible stops include James Bond Island, the caves and hongs of Koh Panak, and the Hong Islands near Krabi — though the actual route is planned collaboratively with you each evening based on conditions and your preferences.
The yacht carries provisions for the full trip. The crew prepares all meals, and cabins are air-conditioned with private bathroom facilities. Fuel and marine park entry fees are included in the daily rate. This charter is suited to guests who want to spend real time at sea rather than a day trip — it covers more ground, reaches quieter destinations, and allows a slower rhythm.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
- Private vessel with experienced skipper and crew
- All meals for the full passage, prepared fresh daily
- Non-alcoholic beverages and water throughout
- Air-conditioned cabins with private bathroom facilities
- All fuel for the complete passage
- Marine park entry fees where applicable
- Snorkel equipment and kayaks carried onboard
The route through Phang Nga Bay takes the vessel through one of the most geologically distinctive bodies of water in Southeast Asia. Limestone formations rise directly from the water's surface; some are hollow, with interior lagoons accessible only at low tide. The skipper will advise on which areas are navigable on the day based on tidal conditions.
POSSIBLE STOPS INCLUDE:
James Bond Island · Koh Panak · Koh Hong · Krabi River mouth
