WHAT SETS THE STANDARD
When you sail with Kelpstone, you bring aboard a team that has spent years learning these specific waters — the tides, the anchorages, the quieter beaches most visitors never reach.
LOCAL WATER KNOWLEDGE
Our skippers have navigated Phang Nga Bay and the Andaman coast through hundreds of passages — they read the sea, not just the chart.
SAFETY AS STANDARD
Each vessel carries current safety equipment, and the crew holds valid certifications for passenger carrying in Thai coastal waters.
ONBOARD CATERING
Meals are prepared fresh on the day — Thai dishes made with local ingredients, thoughtfully adjusted to your group's preferences.
FLEXIBLE ROUTING
On multi-day passages, each evening's route is discussed with you. If conditions and time allow, the itinerary adapts to where you'd like to go.
BOAT LAGOON BASE
We operate from Boat Lagoon Marina — a well-maintained and professionally run facility with easy access from central Phuket.
PRIVATE CHARTERS
Every charter is private — your group has the vessel to yourselves. No shared decks, no scheduled stop times dictated by other passengers.
PLAN YOUR TIME ON THE WATER
Whether you have a few hours free or want to spend several days at sea, get in touch and we'll help shape the right charter for your group.
BEFORE YOU SAIL
What is included in the charter price?
Each charter covers the use of the vessel, the crew, and fuel. The Bay Cruise includes refreshments. The Koh Yao full-day sail includes a Thai lunch, kayaks, and snorkel gear. The Phuket–Krabi passage includes all meals, fuel, and park fees. Alcoholic beverages and personal items are not included but can be arranged on request.
How many guests can come aboard?
Day charters accommodate up to 10 guests. The multi-day Phuket–Krabi passage accommodates up to 8, given the need for cabin space. If your group is larger, please contact us to discuss options — we may be able to arrange a second vessel depending on availability.
What happens if conditions are unsuitable on the day?
Safety comes before any schedule. If sea conditions or weather make a planned route unsuitable, we will either adjust the route to a sheltered alternative or reschedule. We will always contact you as early as possible if we foresee any concern, and will work with you to find a good alternative date.
Do I need any sailing experience?
None at all. Our charters are fully crewed — you are a guest on the water, not a crew member. If you have sailing experience and would like to take the helm at some point on a calm passage, just let the skipper know and they'll be happy to involve you.
Can dietary preferences be accommodated?
Yes. Please let us know when you book if anyone in your group has dietary restrictions, allergies, or strong preferences. We do our best to accommodate a range of requirements, including vegetarian and pescatarian diets. The more notice we have, the better we can prepare.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 48–72 hours ahead for day charters, and at least one week ahead for multi-day passages so that we can prepare provisions and plan the route properly. During the peak season from November to April, earlier booking is advisable as availability fills quickly.
